Traffic Calming Proposals WMDC

From WMDC: As part of the Local Transport Plan, Highways are proposing new traffic calming measures along Darrington Road, yellow lines at Doncaster Road/ Darrington Road, and speed reduction markings on Doncaster Road. These measures will reduce vehicle speeds along the length of Darrington Road and along the 30mph section of Doncaster Road/ Hardwick Road.

Speed cushions are elevated sections of carriageway that are 1.8 metres long (with a plateau of 1.0 metres and approach ramps of 0.4 metres) at a height of 60 – 75mm above current carriageway levels.
